The Story of Annen May Kantereit

The group was created in 2011 by school friends. The special manner of performance and the characteristic hoarseness of the soloist Hanning distinguishes the team from others. Their tracks are created in different languages, they cover official versions of many famous songs.
The name of the group is a combination of the names of its members: Severin Kantereit, Christopher Annen and Henning May. Speaking on the streets of the city, the guys earned an instrument. The guys created in 2012 their music channel on Youtube. Where they posted a video of their performances on the street.
2013 was remembered for artists by the release of their first album. Later, the bassist joined the musicians. Since this year, the group began touring in different cities of Europe. This was followed by new albums, performances and awards.
In 2015, the guys started working with a well-known media holding, after which a mini-album was released under the Vertigo Berlin label, in which there were only 5 songs, “Somehow it will work out”. The new collection was released in 2016, the song “Pocahontas” became the main song, it won first positions in many European music charts.
In 2019, the artists won the “Best Band” nomination from 1 Live Krone. The team has many awards, and he was also nominees for many music awards. Annen May Kantereit are artists who have never studied anywhere and can only sing. Without special education, thanks to hard work and talent, their schedule is painted for a long time ahead.

During their creative activity, the guys have many interesting collaborations with: Moira Cappilli, Parcels, Kummer, Amilli, Giant Rooks, MarthaGunn, Cro & Trettmann, Audio88 & Yassin, SXTN, Judith Holofernes, K.I.Z. (joint video with artists of Hurra die Welt geht unter), Milky Chance, Muckefukk, Town of Saints and others. Such cooperation allowed us to create many bright and interesting works.
